Top Hat: Hiss Golden Messenger takes music fans on a lyrical journey

Hiss Golden Messenger will take you on a musical walk through the forests of North Carolina seeking answers to questions.

You’ll feel a soft breeze moving through the leaves, hear water in a stream coursing around the rocks and bends in the bed, slowly gaining speed into a white water crescendo of the guitar solo.

Another song feels like the piano notes are falling gently on the porous ground, filled with yesterday’s lives.

This band takes the folk tradition and infuses it with a vibrant new feeling. Like their fellow North Carolinians, Mandolin Orange, Hiss Golden Messenger are accomplished story tellers who take the listener on a special journey.

The next time you hear they are in town to play, do make it to hear this band, as they are special.
