The Mission Mountain Wood Band reunited for the Montana World Affairs Council’s annual benefit on Sunday night in Missoula.

Given the council’s global vision, the evening included a reception with Yoichiro Yamada, the consul general of Japan, and honorary consul general Ian Marquand.

The show went to support global education initiatives for Montana youth.

“It’s all for a great cause — global education, awareness, and understanding through programs that reach schools, classrooms and communities across the state,” the World Affairs Council said.

The show kicked off the council’s signature education event, Academic WorldQuest, which began on Monday.
